Psychiatrists who see transgender patients need specific guidelines to help determine the best course of treatment, according to new report from the American Psychiatric Association.

I would be interested in hearing more about this current report and call for guidelines. I’m also interested in knowing how the APA approaches GID and the upcoming changes to it in the 2013 release of edition 5 of the DSM.
