This spring I will be sharing my transition from female-to-male story along with clinical details related to the transgender community with over 19 institutions and thousands of people. I’ve been doing this work for eight years now and continue to see the demand increase. If your University or institution is looking for a presentation for this fall, please contact me soon. My schedule gets fuller with each year that passes. I promise to inspire, make you laugh….and fill you with hope. http://www.ryansallans.com

Life isn’t meant to be easy. It is full of challenges that sometimes make us feel like they are impossible to overcome, but when we do, it makes us stronger and more affirmed in who we are. I drew the above picture when I felt like I was on my last rung in life, I was twenty-two at the time. Over the past 32 years I have overcome two suicide attempts and a lifetime of suicidal thoughts. I keep going now because life is meant to be lived. For those of you struggling, reach out to someone close to you. For those of you that feel like you have no one, sometimes when we are at our lowest we isolate from all support. Take a chance, reach out, and keep going. We all have something to offer in this life, even when we feel like no one will ever notice or love us back. If we can find the love for ourselves, then other relationships will follow.
